Turquoise Nugget Gem Slice Earrings

From my studio in the foothills of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. 
 
Substantial turquoise nuggets, surrounded with hand shaped silver forms and captured with silver prongs. These nuggets are beautiful Chinese turquoise, cut and polished in the USA. The setting makes them light and comfortable to wear. Integrated ear wires are sterling. These are approximately 1 1/4 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the stone.
 
+About Hubei turquoise: Turquoise has been mined in China for over 2000 years. As American mined turquoise becomes scarcer, Chinese turquoise has grown in popularity. Chinese turquoise ranges in color from yellow, brown, light blue, aqua, deep blue and everything in between. It typically presents with an intricate matrix, much of it tan, brown, gray or black.

+ All pieces are slowly and carefully handmade, in my studio in Sheridan, Wyoming. Because of this, each piece is unique and may contain the slight imperfections that you would expect with a handcrafted item. Perfectly imperfect!
+ As with all handmade jewelry, please be mindful to take care of it. It should not be worn in the shower, while cleaning, during strenuous activities such as sports, or in the water.
+ Sun, heat, lotions and chemicals can affect stones negatively. Clean silver (not stones) with a gentle polishing cloth, especially for jewelry (Sunshine polishing cloth is recommended).
